AT THE SETTING OF THE SUN
by Verna Mull There are eerie silhouettes Of trees, and barns, and brush; And all around the country, There is the slightest hush! And, as the darkness deepens, We know our work is done. Another day has ended, At the setting of the sun! Our lives, like those silhouettes, A shadow of what they were. Changes have entered our lives, And eyes begin to blur. We are patiently waiting, The words, "My son, well done"! Where darkness does not prevail, At the setting of "our sun". An elderly Christian who has learned to depend upon the Lord. He is sufficient to meet our needs in any circumstance of life. I only want to honor Him Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
