FEET
by Preena Deepak A mind sore, depressed, Wounded and weary, Finding no rest. A heart so heavy, Burdened with grief, Lacking in peace. A soul so tired, With no will to survive, Willing to leave. All these I bring, To lay at your Feet, Having no strength. A memory so full, Of things good and bad, I lay here too. A body too worn, By stressful days and nights, Lies by your Feet. Look down O Lord, In your mercy and love, Look down on me. I have not the Alabaster, To adorn your Feet, As Mary did. I have but the tears, All full of woe, And hands that crave your Feet. Touch and revive me, Fill me with power, Lord I wait. For at your Feet, Your nail pierced Feet, My mind, heart and soul are healed. Strength to go on, Refreshed and renewed, I rise from your Feet.
