FEET
by Preena Deepak

A mind sore, depressed,
Wounded and weary,
Finding no rest.

A heart so heavy,
Burdened with grief,
Lacking in peace.

A soul so tired,
With no will to survive,
Willing to leave.

All these I bring,
To lay at your Feet,
Having no strength.

A memory so full,
Of things good and bad,
I lay here too.

A body too worn,
By stressful days and nights,
Lies by your Feet.

Look down O Lord,
In your mercy and love,
Look down on me.

I have not the Alabaster,
To adorn your Feet,
As Mary did.

I have but the tears,
All full of woe,
And hands that crave your Feet.

Touch and revive me,
Fill me with power,
Lord I wait.

For at your Feet,
Your nail pierced Feet,
My mind, heart and soul are healed.

Strength to go on,
Refreshed and renewed,
I rise from your Feet.

Heartfelt expressions of my faith in Jesus Christ shaped into poetry and filled my world. Read more in
