MY MORNING WALK
by Verna Mull

As I walked down our road this morning,
The birds chirped their melodious tunes;
The gentle breeze rustled in the grass,
And my walk seemed to end much too soon!

Science searches for a missing link,
To decide where all mankind evolved.
One look at the beauty that surrounds,
And all of their problems will be solved!

Watching the trees bring forth their green leaves,
After losing all of their leaves in fall,
Confirms the story we read in God's Word,
How our Savior created them all!

God created man to tend His world,
And left many signs of His Being.:
Yet, sinful, depraved, ungodly man
Do not believe what they are seeing!

It takes more faith, and no common sense,
To believe in an evolution.
Accepting the Christ of creation,
They will find their real solution.

There's never a doubt for a Christian,
When the Spirit stirs within our heart.
We are assured of our destiny,
When from this world we must all depart.

So these are my thoughts on my morning walk,
And I pause to give God all the praise.
I am so glad that Jesus called me,
And has walked with me through all my days!

An elderly Christian who has learned to depend upon the Lord. He is sufficient to meet our needs in any circumstance of life. I only want to honor Him
