The Cycle of Life
by Laura Manley

The little girl holds her daddy's hand,
as if he was the greatest man on earth.
Then one day she will learn,
through God she was given birth.

Through the years her daddy teaches her,
the way in which to go.
During grade school, then in high school,
he helps his little girl to grow

into a lovely young woman,
who now leaves the safety nest,
to spread her wings and soar into life,
She looks forward to the test.

In time she meets that special one,
hand in hand they go to him,
for approval to be married,
so together their lives can begin.

On that special day of theirs,
holding her daddy's hand once more,
he'll place it into the hand of her love.
Nothing will be the same as before.

They will grow together as man and wife,
and some day will learn that they,
will be the happy parents,
of a blessing to come their way.

The baby grows up to be,
a happy little girl,
she squeals with so much joy,
and in her little dress she twirls.

The little girl holds her daddy's hand,
as if he was the greatest man on earth.
Then one day she will learn,
through God she was given birth.

The cycle of life goes on,
with much happiness and with pride.
Then one day the little girl's daddy,
will be the father of the bride.
