The Underdog
by PamFord Davis When watching a sports event do you "pull for the underdog?" That is a common practice of many. We feel empathy with some one with little chance to win. If they beat the odds and "come out on top," we applaud their victory! We receive satisfaction in the realization that if they were expected to lose and surprised their peers, we can be winners, too. Nothing is impossible! We may even gain confidence to try something we dared not do before. There is one underdog we must never be pulling for, the devil. Soon he will not only be the underdog, but also under our feet! "And the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you (Romans 16:20 NAS)." All things are under the feet of our Lord. (Ephesians 1:22) Cheer HIM on to His rightful victory!
