Provencher Journey of Desire A slug of movement meanders slowly yellow-striped caterpillar crossing the sidewalk along depressions as ravines in the asphalt, almost like walking on the moon furry body desperate for shade, sun in hot pursuit. 2009 Richard L. Provencher All Rights Reserved ** Shadows Flit beneath a Spruce in a camouflage of drooping branches hares peering frightfully at rising snow banks and mice gather for their daily chorus of activity. The wind is like a turbine wind-milling an avalanche of flakes against the farmhouse as children huddle by the fire mom--dad making plans for tomorrow. Among attic's collection of turmoil pigeons cuddle and coo dark but warm on grandma's old comforter. 2008 Richard L. Provencher All Rights Reserved ** The Newspaperman scatters snow one hurried foot at a time while customers snore through Rems of comfortable dreams. Tramping door to door he too dreams when retirement will allow him to turn off the alarm and relax in the arms of his own dear wife. 2009 Richard L.
