I Think I Can!
by PamFord Davis

Do you ever feel like the little train climbing the mountain"I think I can, I think I can!" I've always had a lack of self confidence; and my words have often been, "I can't!" Before I married at age eighteen, my future husband was pushing my comfort zone limits by saying, "can't never could do anything!" The grammar may be lacking; but the message is clear. He led me to a personal relationship with Christ and one of the first scripture verses I learned was "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13 KJV)."

I have had a dream of becoming a writer for about thirty years. Now, as I am pushing my limits again, I feel a lack of confidence, so inadequate; and yet I believe my dream can come true! Lord, make me adequate. ("Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God (2 Corinthians 3:5 NAS)." Yes, "I think I can, I think I can!"
