DON'T LOOK AT THE STONES, BUT TO THE ROCK revised
by Marijo Phelps Sometimes as I walk the narrow path I get to looking down at the stones Then I see my weary feet Kicking dust on my aching bones Now my toes are blistered, cut I can go no further today I stumble and bumble upon a rock Just in time to hear someone say "Take my hand for I know the way You're weak but I am strong" I reached out and was lifted to HIS arms We almost floated along This is the way it always should be Though my feet were blistered still When I put my trust in the Master's hand He helped me dance up that hill It seemed like an impossible mountain before With my eyes on the cutting stone But after I lifted them to the mighty ROCK It became a delightful path to His throne!!
