THE CHRISTMAS MIRACLE
by Verna Mull It's the time of year to start dreaming, Not just of snow, and tinsel, and such; But a time that we remember Christ, Whose arrival provided so much! It's true, 'twas only the beginning Of a lonely, hard path that He trod! But, oh the miracle that was wrought, When he was sent, just for us, by God! Not just to be the sweet little babe That the shepherds and wise men both sought; But to give His life for a ransom For our salvation, that His life bought! Oh that all might accept salvation, Provided at the end of His road. Then, life's burdens would be much lighter, As we give our hearts as His abode! As we open gifts 'Neath tinseled tree, And enjoy gatherings with our kin; Let's think upon the greatest of Gifts, And renew our commitment to Him! An elderly Christian who has learned to depend upon the Lord. He is sufficient to meet our needs in any circumstance of life. I only want to honor Him Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
