O, God, I Needed You
by David Pekrul I bowed my knees to seek Your holy face, You showed me love; You showed amazing grace, I raised my hands in humble gratitude, And praised Your name with pious attitude, I needed You, O, God, I needed You. What can I do, that I may earn Your love, For all I do will always fall short of, You said to lay my burdens at Your feet, You took me in, although so incomplete, I needed you, O, God, I needed you. You gave your life, a pleasing sacrifice, To save my soul and keep it free from strife, And now I come to offer unto You, My all, to do what You would have me do, I needed You, O, God, I needed You. And I will wait until You come again, To take me home, eternal life to gain, I'll walk on streets, all made of purest gold, And live forever, never to get old, I needed You; I give my life to You. www.myhiddenvoice.com The poetry of David Ronald Bruce Pekrul If this article is used in any publication, please send a copy of the publication to David Pekrul at 170 Carr Cres.
