HOW TO CLAIM A PROMISE

NOTE: The following steps must be preceded by a surrender of our will to the Lord.

(a suggested prayer of surrender)

"Take me,0 Lord, as wholly Thine. I lay all my plans at Thy feet."

(Surrender all your plans to Him, to be carried out or given up, as His providence shall indicate.)SC70

1. First prayer for wisdom (for a knowledge of God's will.)

James 1:5

Colossians 1:9

John 5:14-15

2. Leaf through the Bible, looking for a promise that will reveal God's will for this particular circumstance.

Ps 119:1051

3. As you do this, pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to you.

John 14:26

John 16:13

4. When the Spirit "quickens" a scripture, ACCEPT it as God's voice.

lsaiah 30:21

5. Thank God for revealing His will to you.

John 11:41,42;

Psalm 6:8

6. ACT upon that assurance

John 11:43

John 16:1

7.Results will be seen in God's own time

John 11:3-7,44
