Hide and Seek
by PamFord Davis Generations of playful children have played the game of "hide and seek." It can be played either indoors or outdoors with no restrictions on the number of children involved. Hiding places are only limited by a child's imagination. One of our grandsons had a really clever place to remain out of sight. He slid behind the pillows at the top of our bed! Criminals in search of a hiding place are not involved in a game. Life on the run from the law requires constant seeking of hide outs. They can not risk the chance of being seen openly. They live day by day, looking back over their shoulders, knowing as they hide, law officers seek! At times we all desire a hiding place, a special secluded spot where we can feel secure and protected. King David with great spiritual insight confessed that God was his ultimate place of refuge. "You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance (Psalm 32:7 NKJ)." Cry out to Him now; "Ready or not, here I come!" He is always ready and waiting!
