Glimpses of Glory Through Writing
by Jason Fusek

... the songs I write and things I often say are not fully expressed in my own life. The realization of this initially leaves me feeling "fake" and "unworthy" of the inspirations and works that I produce in collaboration with the Holy Spirit.

But then I realize: through these writings, musings, songs, poetic pieces I catch glimpse of and taste the Life that I truly want but which is either beyond me now, or which will only be mine in that time when Jesus and we will unite in the glory to come. Through writing and following the inspiration of the Holy Spirit I am led down paths of thought, contemplation, and imagination that open doors of undertanding and experience previously closed to me.

It is a sign of God's grace, favor, and simply love that He gives these glimpses. It is almost like He is affirming my desire and seeking heart for Him and His kingdom -- kissing that desire with inspiration and fresh fuel to write, sing, and express.

I chiefly write poetry and a composer of worship songs. Currently I work for the California Dept. of Health. My faith journey began in college and has taken me into many parts of the Church and into missions work in Mexico where I self-published a newsletter. www.jesusexpressions.blogspot.com
