Fostering hope with love

Five cautious kids find that they are beautiful, valuable, and even one a hero. A stranger discovers that God can bring her from tragedy to triumph. The touching story and the remarkable story behind the movie make this a must see. About the Film When Ester, a wealthy woman, loses her husband, she finds out he made some bad investments and lost all their money. The only possession left was a house he bought in her name years before. Theres only one catch; a family occupied the house and she has to live in the house with them until it sells. The family is two foster parents and five kids. Two of the kids were teens that were dealing with issues of their own. Everyone is dealing with their own issues. In her loneliness, Ester doesnt understand why her pain isnt everyones top priority. The kids are orphans, but so is Ester. The parents wonder how theyre going to keep their family together, and two of their teenaged kids have issues of their own. They all need someone to care for them and help them through their problems. In the process, Ester discovers that God is the only one who can bring her through. As they turn their attention from their own problems to each others, they all find that caring for someone else and helping them will bring them closer together. Foster Families Every day foster parents reach out with compassion and unselfish love to kids placed in their care. They open their homes and their hearts to see the beauty behind the walls erected to hide the hurt and tragedy in these childrens lives. In 2006, The National Foster Care Coalition (NFCC) reported that in the United States there were 510,000 children in foster care programs. They also reported that 32% of those children were under the age of 5 years old. Think about that, these young children taken from all that is familiar- their family, their home, their friends, and put with a family that they dont know. That must be tough on the kids, but the foster parents must love them through that hurt. The movie gives us a glimpse of how painful that can be. The Lost and Found Family is an inspirational movie that shows a small example of what foster families go through on a daily basis.
