by toye faleye The trip of life Is a voyage Of little joy Intermittent of agony A season of pomp And a period of downcast Laughter then Grief now Often discomfort and worries invade the trip Yet life treks on as if unconcerned As though the Creator looks the other way As though He is the author of bends But God is love And He shows compassion Neither is He the creator of agonies Nor the Author of bends Many agonies are handiwork of Beelzebub And many are meant to chastise in moments of transgressions His thoughts towards you Are thoughts of peace A moment of despair A time He weighs you A moment of sorrow A time to rebuild and to fortify you A period of agony Is but a route to glory You are not alone A Nigerian journalist.
