Who Do We Look Like?
by Marijo Phelps Uniquely Peculiar Lord Jesus, You gave me this mind With flight of thought 5 lanes wide All traveled at once. Little fritzes, sputters and short circuits Sparking, flashing and smoking And generally full of static questions My cerebrum, its occasional times Of rare revelations grasped, And burning, yet undisciplined creativity A special gift from You. Holy Spirit, I pray You'd remake and mold me The mind of Christ within Beautifully dominant Yet the brush stroke of beauty You used To make me uniquely me Still evident with a fresh touch from My Jesus' hand. Gone, the stubborn, unyielding, willful me Leaving to bloom in the beauty of Jesus This peculiar person, And all You intended "me" to be. His Image in Us Jesus came into my heart He really set me free And with His Spirit's fullness Gave my spirit sweet liberty 'Twas for you and me He died On that hill so long ago And He put His image in us So that all the world might know He said to tell all nations Of His great salvation plan To share it with all we meet Every woman, child and man 'Twas for you and me He died On that hill so long ago And He put His image in us So that all the world might know Does His image show in you? Are you giving Him His way? Do you shine with His light Eagerly awaiting rapture day? 'Twas for you and me He died On that hill so long ago And He put His image in us So that all the world might know My blog is: http://myincrediblelord.blogspot.com/ (C) Marijo Phelps all rights reserved.
