Love Me Tender
by PamFord Davis

Love has many shades of color. At times we need vibrant tough love, bringing us back in line to repentance and renewal. Our heart cry for tenderness is often answered with a variety of pastels bringing comfort and reassurance. We are wrapped in the arms of the Lord as He hears our unspoken prayer, "Love me tender."

Jesus strength is unparalleled as demonstrated on Calvary. His tenderness is shown as He looks out over Jerusalem. "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing (Matthew 23:37 NKJ)!" Jesus wants to protect us. He wants us to experience His tenderness and compassion. Are we willing?
