The High and Mighty
by PamFord Davis

In our times of weakness we seek strength and comfort. We place our trust in people we can count on. If anyone lets us down they lose our trust; and it is not easily rebuilt. If our lives hang in the balance we must chose very carefully. In reality only God is always faithful. He will never break His promises.

Is it hard to open jars? Arthritis, bone loss and simple loss of strength due to aging makes opening of jars in our pantry both difficult and frustrating. I turn the problem over to my husband; and he normally uses his strength to remove lids with a turn of his wrist. Our lives are more of a challenge. Sin leads to a broken relationship with God; and in our frailty we are unable to open the way to rescue. God is mighty to save. "It is I, the Lord, announcing your salvation; I the Lord, the one who is mighty to save (Isaiah 63:1b Living Bible)!"
