A Season for Change
by Scarlett Farr

It is the most dazzling season of all,
The time of year we refer to as Fall.
Before the trees begin their annual shed
Leaves turn shades of orange, yellow and red,

I love to gaze at the colors I see.
My favorite is the golden ginko tree.
Oh, a thought just occurred to me.
The leaves are a symbol of what I can be.

The changing leaves are part of God's perfect plan
Just like the one He made for man.
He can take each of us no matter our state
And He will take us no matter how long the wait.

From where did this thought arise?
To me it is comes as quite a surprise.
Hmm, maybe I have not been too wise
To ignore what's been right before my eyes.

Like the stages that leaves go through,
I realize I have some changing to do.
With God as my guiding Light
I too can become a wondrous sight.

He will be a part of all my days
And teach me to walk in His ways.
I will gladly give Him honor and praise
As I transform from phase to phase.

One day the old me will be shiny and bright
Like the autumn leaves , I'll be quite a sight.
Maybe I can be an example to those
Who will remember the new path I chose

Oh, I can't wait to see Fall in its majesty,
It is a promise from our God Almighty.
For if God can transform an ordinary tree
Just imagine what He will do with me.
