There, I've Said It Again
by PamFord Davis Do you remember the seriousness of your parents repeated instructions? "Pam, go clean your room! Go clean your room!" They left no room for doubt; the statements needed no clarification. The repetition carried a message of extreme importance. My ears perked up and I weighed their words. I got the message. Did I follow through? The Apostle Paul effectively used his chosen word twice. "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice (Philippians 4:4 NKJ)!" There is another phrase you may recall: "If you know what's good for you" Paul knew that rejoicing is always the right choice. We can not always rejoice in our circumstances; but as believers we can always rejoice in the Lord and His love.
