When Angels Speak
by Trecia Wright

The hot muggy night swirled around Sara from the open window near by. Between the heat and her restless dreams she wasn't getting much quality sleep. The sheet kept getting tangled around her legs. Sara drifted in and out of dream state while feeling completely awake the whole night. Suddenly, heaviness came over her. Nobody was there. At least not anyone she could see.

Sara could feel something smothering her. She tried to scream but couldn't even open her bone dry mouth. "Okay Sara if you're going to have faith now is a good time. Pray. Just pray", she said to herself.

It started in her mind, "Jesus please help me. Jesus I need you." Within a few seconds the prayer went from her head to her heart, "Holy Spirit bind Satan, his demons, and all evil spirits in the name of Jesus Christ." She could feel the pressure starting to lift. Her throat squeaked with a tiny sound and the prayer came forth. Louder and louder until she could hear her own prayers fill the room. But hers wasn't the only voice.

Over in the corner were two other voices speaking. It was just for a few seconds but she knew it wasn't her imagination. The language was like nothing she had heard before. Deep inside a knowing filled her with peace. God had sent His angels to save her from the enemy. She drifted off to a peaceful sleep with the voices burnt into her memory forever.
