Moses and The Burning Bush
by Nellie Shani

I was looking after sheep
To pay Jethro for my upkeep
I was searching for pasture
Giving up my time for leisure

I was way out in the wilderness
Just minding my own business
Then out of the corner of my eye
Something looked like fire near by

I turned my head to look
Then saw the bush and shook
The bush was all aflame
But not burning all the same!

I took a step towards it
But a thunderous voice forbid it
Moses do not come near!
I was suddenly filled with fear!

There on the sand
With bare feet stand
For I Am Jehovah
Around Me angels hover

I quickly obeyed
By great fear swayed
How could this be?
That God is talking to me!
