HE WALKED WITH ME
by Sarah Thomas

The nature careened in the balmy breeze and enjoyed the camaraderie of the very force that held it in place. The boisterous cadence of the stream; the tweeting of the birds in their tiny abode; the swish of life around in the captious garden was indeed a bucolic sight. There was this unique and mysterious unison among all the living, a phenomenon grueling to comprehend within the finite human wit.

And there in the midst of it all, He who held it all with His word, stood with His captivating persona, looking at me with eyes that can fathom my deepest cerebration and capture my arcane. He had an aureole surrounding Him and He shone brighter than the brightest radiance. He radiated love and peace that surged out of His precious heart and encircled me. I stood there in awe of Him!

With arms stretched open He called me close. I went running to be surrounded by His presence and He carried me in His arms. His smile was an anodyne for my grief and I sensed a cleansing flow within me that made me whole. I held those mighty fingers that formed me in the very depth of my mother's womb and walked with Him in His garden. I stared at His marvelous face and tried to wonder why me so much.? I couldn't find a reason but I knew He loved me more than anything else in the world and I meant a lot to Him. I held His finger firmly and walked with Him in His garden.in His garden of Eden!

I open my eyes and look around only to realize it was a dream. Oh I wish I never woke up that morning and stayed so close to Him. For a minute I recalled my previous night's prayer before I hit the bed.

I was tired and weary after the days work. All I said was "Daddy, I want to walk with you and talk to you. Hold my hands and walk with me every day."

And He walked with me

Psalm 139:1-6(NKJV)
"O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold O Lord, You know it altogether. You have hedged me behind and before. And laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it. "
