Trusting in the Lord
by Nellie Shani

Though the fig tree does not bud
Making my circumstances very hard
Though there be no grapes on the vine
On me His face doth still shine
No matter what the case may be
My God watches over me

Though the olive crop fail
And everything else that entails
Though the fields produce no food
Of this I am certain God is good
His mercies will still endure
Of His steadfast love I am sure

Though there are no sheep in the pen
Nothing of my own not even a hen
Though there be no cattle in the stalls
As His beloved child my God still calls
Though you stumble I'll not let you fall
Child let me be your all in all

Yet I will rejoice in the Lord
In every circumstance forever remains God
I will be joyful in God my Savior
Total trust be always my behavior
Omnipotent Immortal and invisible
Tests me like silver in a crucible
