1 Corinthians 13

1 Corinthians 13

Though I can speak all languages known to man and heaven, and have not Love, I am just blowing smoke.

Though I know everything and have the faith to move mountains and have not Love, it don't mean squat.

Though I give away everything I have to the poor and become a martyr for whatever cause and don't have Love, I won't receive anything out of it.

Love puts up with everything and doesn't get mad; Love doesn't want what belongs to someone else; Love does not allow Pride to grow inside.

Love doesn't do anything that is not right, Love is not selfish, Love doesn't get mad at the drop of a hat, and does not try to get revenge.

Love does not get happy with sin, but gets very happy in the Lord.

Love doesn't put it's grief on someone else, Love believes in the good in everyone, Love hopes for the best for everyone, Love goes through all trials without complaint.

Love never stops: everything else will let you down, including yourself, what you do, say and know. You will eventually get to where you can't get around, and you may forget what you want to say, and forget how to do things.

We don't know everything, and we can't tell everything because we don't have the full picture.

But when the Lord returns to reign; then this sinful world will be done away with.

When I was just a little boy, I talked like a child, I didn't know anything and I acted as a child. But as I grew up I quit acting like a child and started acting like a man.

Now we are looking at the picture through smoked glass; but when the Lord returns we shall see the full picture. Now I don't know much but then it will all be explained and I will understand.

But right now all we have is faith, hope, and Love and that is all, but the best of all is Love.
