The First Star
by Jasti Victor

' Where is He that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen His Star in the east, and are come to worship Him.' Mathew 2:2

The First Star that announced to the World,
Brought the shepherds out of the cold,
To see the wonder which the Angels claimed,
Lay on the manger, neatly wrapped.

The First Star that announced to the World,
Brought three wise men, traveling bold.
Without a map or a compass, only a guiding Star,
To see the New Born King.

The First Star that announced to the World,
If it appears before you Untold.
Will you go, in search of the Babe?
Without you asking, Why Me?

The First Star that announced to the World,
Will you, like the three wise men travel around,
Bringing gifts, like frankincense, myrrh and gold,
Without knowing the true reason told.

The First Star that announced to the World,
Need not be the only star, high upon the Earth.
For you and me to know that Christ is born,
We believe that Christ was born, because the Bible said so.
