Articles of FaithWriters, A to Z
by Tim Pickl

Assume nothing: your reader cannot read your mind, only your words. Avoid clichs.

Breathe life and emotion into your character. Become your character.

Convey your character's world: If your character feels it, then your reader feels it.

Depend on the leading of the Holy Spirit: He will guide your written words of faith.

Express faith in God somewhere in every piece. Remember God's Word will last forever.

FaithWriters are first Faithful to prayer, then Writers for Him.

Go sentence by sentence, picturing the scene through the mind of your reader.

Have one clear message shining from God through you to your reader.

Ignite your reader's curiosity in the opening: Grab your reader's attention!

Justify nothing. If you're in doubt about it, there's no faith in it. Toss it.

Keep writing, keep writing, keep faithfully writing. Use your God-given talent.

Let the love of Christ shine in every good piece you write for Him.

May the Lord bless you, FaithWriter, above all you could ever ask or think.

Never give up: There is someone who needs to read what only you will write.

Obey the Lord and follow Him in every word, every sentence. Everywhere.

Prepare yourself in prayer. Stir up the gift of God within you.

Quiet time is a great time to write. Get away if you have to.

Read your piece out loud all the way through without stopping.

Save what you wrote. Come back to it later and read it out loud again, slowly.

Touch your character's senses and emotions and you will touch your reader's heart.

Unite yourself with a FaithWriter friend and lovingly critique each other's work.

Victoriously published FaithWriters always praise and thank God.

Wait on the Lord: always finish your piece with a strong conclusion.

Xerox copying of another FaithWriter's work into your piece is not wise.

Your reader will thank you in eternity: It'll be worth it all! Be

Zealous therefore: write as if this were your last piece.
