Trouble
by PamFord Davis

Don't go looking for trouble. Each life has enough trouble without putting yourself in its menacing path. We are told that some have trouble as their middle name. That implies that trouble follows them wherever they go. No, we don't always look for trouble. It is just part of living in our chaotic world.

There is one sure fact, when we are in trouble we're looking for a way out. Recently I thought of trouble as one of those beautiful but confusing outdoor mazes created with tall shrubbery. Troubled, a person in panic wanders around seeking a way of escape. A person with an over-head view can clearly see the path to take. God above sees us in our troubles.

"The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knows those who take refuge in Him (Nahum 1:7 NAS)." Some days just seem filled with trouble. Dark clouds fill the sky and we seek a hiding place. Don't look for trouble; look to God.
