Tips of My Fingers
by PamFord Davis

We take for granted the ability to touch. The tips of our fingers are sensitive to hot and cold, smooth and rough. Are they sensitive to the needs of others? Do we use them to touch lives around us?

Jesus healed through quiet or loud commands. Healing flowed from within following a simple touch of faith on the hem of his garment. He extended hands of healing; as the Great Physician his fingers were instruments of power.

"After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man's ears. Then he spit and touched the man's tongue. He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, 'Eph-phatha!' (which means, "Be opened!"). At this, the man's ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly (Mark 7:33-35 NIV)." His fingers met the man at his point of need.
