First, by breath He gave me life

A life I filled too soon with strife 

Death I chose, the light grew dim

I chose the dark, instead of Him 

A darkened world to stumble through

A faithless life I held on to 

Then, His blood I heard was mine

A gift He gave through love divine 

An act He did through perfect love

I now can glimpse my life above 

His radiant glow forevermore

Will erase the path I trod before
