Promises, Promises
by PamFord Davis

We can get along without many things that we believe to be necessities. One thing is essential; we must safeguard our hope. Without hope, we lose our purpose, confidence and reason to persevere. Dark clouds appear in each life in the form of disappointments, sickness and loss. The hope of light breaking through is our strength.

We place our hope in God's faithfulness. He met our needs in the past and will provide through every difficulty. "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23 NKJ)." Our hope is not wishing, but faith tested and tried, standing on the promises of a loving Father.
