HOW TO STOP WEARING YOURSELF DOWN WITH WORRY
by Miriam Kinai

Are you physically, mentally or emotionally worn out because of worrying? Understand you don't have to be regardless of your problems because all you have to do is to heed 1 Peter 5: 6-7.

1 Peter 5: 6-7 urges you to humble yourself under the Mighty Hand of God so that He may lift you up in due time and then cast all your cares, concerns and worries on Him because He cares for you.

Therefore, humble yourself before God by bringing your problems and worries to Him in prayer. Describe your entire stressful situation to Him by telling Him who is troubling you and the tribulations in your family, finances, ministry or job and then ask Him to help you solve them.

After telling Him your problems, heave them from your mind into His Mighty Hand because He can handle them. Heave them and confidently leave them there by believing that He can do for you what you are unable to do for yourself in due time.

Leave your cares confidently in His Hand because He also cares for you and He will not dismiss them immediately you stop praying. He will look into the issues and He will lift you out of your stressful situation.

Understand also that the Bible does not say "Cast your burdens and then catch them back". Therefore, after you have dislodged them from your mind, let them lodge in His Mighty Hand and continue living purposefully even if the problems have not been resolved. Lay them down once and for all in His Mighty Capable Hand and let Him deal with them for you. Permanently dislodge problems from your mind and erase worries so that you can de-wrinkle your brow and sleep soundly at night.

Therefore, cast all your physical, mental and emotional worries and stressors to the Lord and He will sustain you (Psalm 55: 22) in the stressful situation for this is the best way to stop worries from wearing you down until you develop stress related illnesses.
