I Can See Clearly Now
by PamFord Davis

I wear eyeglasses and appreciate the improvement in my eyesight, both for close-up work, and seeing at a distance. A few minutes ago, I washed them off to remove a smudge that was impairing my vision. I can see clearly now as I concentrate on the keyboard and screen in front of me.

Jesus gave sight to a man who was born blind. (John 9:1-41) It is a great thing to have sight returned after it has been lost following an accident or illness. To receive sight for the very first time as an adult man is beyond description. Imagine seeing people, places and things for the very first time!

"He answered and said, 'Whether He is a sinner or not I do not know. One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see (John 9:25 NKJ)." He later spoke to Jesus about faith in the Son of God. Physical sight led to spiritual light; "Then he said, 'Lord, I believe! And he worshiped Him (John 9:38 NKJ)."
