Coals of fire
by Jasti Victor

Let us consider one another in order to stir up love
And good works. Hebrews 10:24

Christians are like coals of fire,
Together they glow, apart, they grow cold.
In New Testament times, believers banded together,
Whether it's for prayer groups or house churches,
This made them to go further and rise higher,
In their Christian growth, than if they had tried to go alone.

Christians are like coals of fire,
Together they glow, apart, they grow cold.
It's true even today, as you go about in your daily work,
You become actively involved in a group,
And you are sure to succeed, because of the others' support,
If not, you will have one hundred excuses to stay away.

Christians are like coals of fire,
Together they glow, apart, they grow cold.
That's what should be happening in the church,
Banding together can provide the motivation,
For the believers to grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ,
For there's great encouragement in a shared commitment.
