Oh, to be in Israel
by Jasti Victor

Oh, to be in Israel,
The land of Jesus' earthly life.
And as the Sea of Galilee stretches before me,
Sparkling in the bright sunlight,
My heart would not had been touched,
No, not by its natural grandeur,
But by wonderment, of realization,
That I could be walking over His footsteps.

Oh, to be in Israel,
The land of Jesus' earthly life.
And at the City of Capernaum, before me,
A fertile spring, started out as a fishing village,
Where in a synagogue, Jesus taught on a Sabbath,
And home of the apostles Peter, Andrew, James and John,
The miracles, which the city was associated with,
That I could have been where Jesus earlier was.

Oh, to be in Israel,
The land of Jesus' earthly life.
The Mount of Beatitudes, where the Sermon,
Jesus preached, could have reverberated,
Along with the Lord's Prayer,
Because His voice, from the top of the hillside,
A natural amphitheater, had been amplified,
Which I could have heard it even now, amongst, many.

Oh, to be in Israel,
The land of Jesus' earthly life.
Walking and sailing alongside Him,
And to hear His soft commanding voice,
If it could be that overwhelming,
Just imagine the absolute ecstasy, the astounding effect
When I could see Him in all His glory,
To stand in His presence, in Heaven.
