As was his custom.
by Jasti Victor

He knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave
thanks before his God, as was his custom. Daniel 6:10

Daniel prayed, as was his custom,
Making prayer a central part of his life,
Whether in a crisis, or an emergency,
Whether things are going against him or for him,
It never made any difference, as prayer was his daily affair,
A natural part of his life, no matter what the circumstances are.

Daniel prayed, as was his custom,
Kneeling on his knees, three times, as he used to do earlier,
Facing Jerusalem, as his windows are open towards it,
Knowing fully well that King Darius, had passed a decree,
Making it a crime, punishable to be killed by lions, in its den,
A crime to bow, pray, before any God, other then the king.

Daniel prayed, kneeling on his knees, as was his custom,
Have you talked with God today, and made it your custom?
Like Daniel, pray consistently, whether in a crises or an emergency,
For your Father in Heaven, welcomes your petitions in a crises,
He also takes great delight in your thankful prayers, when all is well.
Whatever your circumstances, make prayer a vital part of your life.
