The Potential In Our Spirit

Like Minded

Consider how electric comes into our homes and powers our stoves, refrigerators, microwaves etc. We have a word that both describes the power of electric and the operation of the stove, refrigerators and like items. That word is "appliance''. The word appliance is then describing both the application of electric and the working order or life given to the stove from that application. It may be stated this way; the electricity and the stove have a relational working order that is described in the word appliance. Here are the parallel words explaining the spiritual equivalent . Our spirit is seen in an analogy as a power source, likened to the electric. What our spirit has a relational working order with, or what it brings to life as the stove is from electric, is our soul. Remember Genesis 2:7, " and man became a living soul". Our soul has three component parts, thoughts, feelings and will. Using thought in this case, the word that applies to the working order of our spirit and thoughts is the word mind. The word mind works to describe the spiritual power, our spirit, and the recipient of the power that is brought to life, our thoughts. If two people are of a like mind or they are" like minded" then they are genuinely uniting on a spiritual level. The potential in this is off the charts and lays some foundational explanation for supernatural success stories like Lennon and McCartney or Ben and Jerry.

Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

I have a desire to see the body of Christ edified. Within the broad spectrum of edification I feel there exists a great need and opportunity for spiritual education at foundational levels. Please contact me about speaking at your church. Dale Linton 410-378-5035 or [email protected]
