Peter Pan
by PamFord Davis

I believe that Peter Pan had the right idea; he refused to grow old. I have no control over the aging process; I am growing older, but I have a choice to accept the pessimistic stubborn streak of an old cranky woman, or cling to the exuberant faith of a child.

"He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said, 'I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:2-4 NIV)."

I'm in my second childhood. I'm not ashamed to admit it; it is possible for all. Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again (John 3:3b NIV)." Following the new birth, we have the blessing of our second childhood!
