To My Friend Choosing Rebellion
by Marijo Phelps

Tormented friend
By your own choice
Picked aching anger
Suffering strife

Refusing release
Choosing to walk
In outer darkness
Doors demons stalk

Allowing actual entry
Of minion and horde
Humbleness would lead
To the resurrected Lord

Multitudes of counsel
Agree then say,
You about face
Tromp away

Is repentance mere word
Or can it be real
You can choose to act
Not merely to feel

Go with "honest"
Cry our your choice
Jesus can free you
If sincerely you voice

We've been friends years now
You continue to dwell
With rebellious choosing
In your self-imposed hell

Riding the Enemy's toys
Spinning round and round
Nausea grabbing you
Throwing you down

Cry out for help
Take that off step
You got on at one point
Even though you wept

Get off at this point
Ask, HE will come
Make Wonderful Counselor
Your only ONE

Freedom awaits you
If you want to be free
How do I know this?
Because Jesus freed me!
