The legacy of a troubling question
by Laura Swindon-Ross

"My times are in thy hand" Psalm 31:15

How will we find peace, if we can't find one another,
Living our lives without God?
How will we find peace, if we can't find love's cover, living a life without God?
How will we know faith, if we can't teach each other, the beauty of grace from above;
What will we tell our children, in the long day of judgment, when we stand with the stain on our soul?

Did we live our lives faithfully? Did we give our lives gratefully, to He who gave His life to us?
Or did we stand back and fatefully
Judge
Ourselves
To be

Perfect

When perfection
Just wasn't
Enough?

How will we find peace, if we can't find one another
Living our lives without God?
How will we find peace, if we can't find love's cover, living a life without God?
How will we know faith, if we can't teach each other, the beauty of grace from above;
What will we tell our children, when the lonely day comes, and we stand with the stain on our soul?
