Could We Make The Same Mistake?
by Dale Linton

The following is a true account which reveals an accurate perspective of how inacurate the heart can be.

The Heart of Man

"Having Eyes and Not Being Able To See"
"Having Ears and Not Being Able To Hear"

BRIAN felt that the first task of a manager was to secure a record deal, and he managed to lure Mike Smith of Decca to the Cavern to see The Beatles play. Smith was knocked out and arranged for the band to attend an audition at the Decca Record Company in London. On January 1 1962 they played several numbers which were duly recorded and returned to Liverpool to await word from the Decca hierarchy. Three long months later Brian was summoned to the Decca offices to meet two important executives - Dick Rowe and Beecher Stevens. Dick Rowe informed Brian that the company did not like the band's sound and added that "groups of guitarists are on the way out".

Consider Our Heart Limitations

It is impossible to transfer feelings to another heart in an attempt to communicate what it feels like to have children or to be married.

It is impossible to retain what summer time temperatures feel like such that they can be used in the winter to make cold conditions more comfortable or vise versa.

It is impossible to know what the thoughts and feelings of choices made today might evolve into in the months and years to come.

And Could It Have Been You Or I Who Failed To Recognize What Four Young Musicians Were Getting Ready To Do? Oh Yea Yea Yea!

I have a desire to see the body of Christ edified. Within the broad spectrum of edification I feel there exists a great need and opportunity for spiritual education at foundational levels. Please contact me about speaking at your church. Dale Linton 410-378-5035 or [email protected]
