Baby, I'm Yours
by PamFord Davis

A mother bonds with her newborn child, and each become deeply involved in their relationship. The child is totally dependent on the mother, and the mother is at the baby's beckoned call. She may get weary, but she has a desire to meet every need of her babe. As the infant's caregiver, she knows the child needs to feel secure in every way.

Mary knew baby Jesus would be no ordinary child. He would not only be her son, but also her Lord. She could not contain her joy! Her praise became a song in honor of him. She was at his disposal. (Luke 1:46-55)

"Mary said, 'My heart praises the Lord; my soul is glad because of God my Savior, for he has remembered me, his lowly servant (Luke 1:46-48a TEV)!" She did not rebel, but willingly surrendered. Lord Jesus, I am yours
