by Cindie York Feeling empty and abandoned, Lord, You seem so distant, almost unreachable, Frustration in every direction, Precious gifts stolen, Guard down and enemy attacked, Ransacked, plundered, devastated, Hurt, stifled, bound, How? Why? What happened? Confused, bewildered, baffled, In much need of answers, World spinning out of control, Completely off kilter and out of sync, Chaos so distracting Mind, Soul, and Spirit suffering, hurt, GRIEVED! Fear, anxiety, doubt, confusion, Captivity a horrible consequence, A cry for help spoken, groaned, even shouted, Help me understand! Yearning for wisdom, discernment, direction- Loose the chains and let freedom be in abundance! Your presence necessary for survival-ESSENTIAL! Forgiveness, approval, mercy a must, Oh, come quickly to the rescue Drench me with Your Spirit, yes, the calm of Your Spirit Wash, teach, strengthen, renew, Speak peace to this storm. An expected breakthrough, revival on the horizon, Ask and it shall be given An answered prayer! The parting of clouds, the clearing of fog, The light of the Son penetrating to the innermost, Shackles falling, hope restored, Taking back what the enemy stole, Vessel Filling-not going down without a fight! Enemy concerned-HALLELUJAH! I have been a Christian for 23 years. I enjoy Bible study and growing in the knowledge of God's word. I literally want to soak up God's Word like a sponge.
