Here Comes My Baby
by PamFord Davis

Expectant mothers watch for any sign of labor. They do not want to wait too long and experience the trauma of home delivery if they are unprepared. When she tells her husband it's time to call the doctor and leave for the hospital, she is quite sure the baby will be born soon.

I remember the story of a neighbor in labor at a hospital. They had her waiting on a gurney in a hallway, when she felt the baby coming and tried to get help. They thought she exaggerated until they lifted her sheet. They rushed her to the delivery room!

Young Mary prepared for the arrival of God's Son. "Mary was engaged to Joseph and traveled with him to Bethlehem. She was soon going to have a baby, and while they were there, she gave birth to her first-born son. She dressed him in baby clothes and laid him on a bed of hay, because there was no room for them in the inn (Luke 2:5-7 CEV)."
