I Walk the Line
by PamFord Davis

Highway Patrolmen pull people over suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; the officer administers a sobriety test to confirm suspicions. Standard procedures may include breath analyzers to determine alcohol blood content, as well as observing attempts to walk in a straight line.

A drunk's swagger is comical in flicks, but not a laughing matter when the lack of balance plays part in control and reaction time behind the wheel. The alcohol or drug alters normal walking behavior, making it nearly impossible to walk in a straight line.

God, in scriptures instructs us to walk the line. We discover balance and stability in a personal relationship with Him. "And those who belong to Christ Jesus (the Messiah) have crucified the flesh (the godless human nature) with its passions and appetites and desires. If we live by the [Holy] Spirit, let us walk by the Spirit. [If by the Holy Spirit we have our life in God, let us go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit.] (Galatians 5:24-25 AMP)" Lord, I need Your Holy Spirit power; help me to walk the line
