Just Around the Bend
by PamFord Davis

I'm as old as I feel, to be honest I'm not quite that old. The driver's license information reveals age 62 is around the bend; it's true, I don't try to hide my age. Some women are very sensitive about their date of birth. The joke is on them, they cannot stop the clock; time not only flies, but tells no lies. We can color our hair, have tummy tucks, face lifts and replace missing teeth, but it's just like making repairs on a used car. The owner invests a lot of money to keep it on the road. It is still a used car.

I guess I'm broken in like a comfortable pair of old shoes, pretty run down, I've been around the block more than once, but not ready for replacement. I'll keep plodding along. "So we do not give up. Our physical body is becoming older and weaker, but our spirit inside us is made new every day (2 Corinthians 4:16 NCV)." Nope, don't think a MRI would see anything new, but the word said it, I'm brand spanking new!
