Girl's Best Friend
by PamFord Davis

Dogs are frequently called man's best friend; they are loyal and they don't borrow tools. Fido is faithful, shows affection and cannot repeat stories of a master's past mistakes. A lasting bond is forged and the man and canine find companionship and unspoken understanding.

"Diamonds are a girl's best friend"; they are poor company on a rainy day or cold winter's night, yet she dreams of hands dripping with diamonds. She window shops at Tiffany's and drops hints for diamond earrings or bracelets.

God says jewels, silver and gold pale in comparison to the gift of wisdom. "Accept my instruction instead of silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold. For wisdom is better than precious stones, and nothing desirable can compare with it (Proverbs 8:10-11 HCS)." My friends are precious to me; wisdom will enrich my life, revealing the will of our loving Father.
