I Surrender
by Deborah Ann Belka

Father, I surrender,
there is nothing more I can do.
It's time for me to turn,
my life over to only You.

I surrender,
all that I have come to own.
All my earthy possessions,
all the pleasures I have known.

I surrender,
this mind of pointless thought.
I give to You this wretched spirit,
for the one, that for me You bought.

I surrender,
my layman's selfish plans.
I hand them over one-by-one,
for those in my Masters hands.

I surrender,
all the dreams that I hold on to.
I offer all my selfish delusions,
Father, I give them all to You.

I surrender,
this heart made of sand and stone.
I yield my life to my Savior,
who sits with You upon Your throne.
