The Lords' Will
by Lili Richey Willard "In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps." Proverbs 16:9 We all know what we want out of life; a new car, a grand house, a handsome husband and beautiful kids, and expensive vacations. We want all that this life has to offer, including comfort and safety. But God often has other plans for us.His plans may include traveling to a faraway nation,where He may use us to minister to those less fortunate than ourselves. He may change our occupation, against our will, or divert our college plans, or move us from our hometown for His own purposes. Whatever God chooses to do in our lives will become evident at some point. And the sooner we surrender ourselves to His will for us,the sooner we will reap the rewards that come from obedience. I heard it said once, by one of our own missionaries, that to be home, and out of the Lord's will for our lives, is more dangerous than to be in the middle of a war,and in His will. Thank God today for having a purpose for you,and ask Him to reveal it when He knows you are ready for it. Blessings! I love the LORD!
