Aroma of Christ
by Bobbi Richardson

2 Corinthians 2:15 (NLT) - For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

When we step outside on a bright spring morning, we inhale the sweet smell of the earth coming to life and the aroma of flowers blooming.

One of the amazing things about our Creator is His love of diversity. He created flowers in all shapes, colors and types. Each has it's own fragrance.

Like the flowers He created, each of His children also has a special aroma; a unique purpose that fits perfectly into His plan.

Each day as we go about our routines we take the sweetness of His Spirit wherever we go.

Our goodness, cheerfulness, faith and courage are like a fragrance that surround us.

Just like the scent of a perfume lingers, so does the good we do for others.

We are known and remembered by the lingering scent of our kindness, encouragement and friendliness.

The sweet-smelling aroma of Christ's love clings to us and the fragrance of His Spirit living in us is evidenced by the good we do and the people we help.

In every season we are the aroma of Christ.

I write because I want to share what Father God has taught me and because I want others to experience His love more and more. My prayer is that my words will inspire someone to seek Him, to find Him, to know Him, to love Him.
